Translational Data Analytics

PUTTING DATA TO WORK TO HELP EDUCATION, BUSINESS, AND COMMUNITIES

Game-changing solutions requires diverse perspectives and unprecedented partnerships. The ability to extract, model, analyze and draw understanding from vast amounts of data to solve complex problems is key to discovery and innovation in the 21st century.

Ohio State created the Translational Data Analytics program as a cornerstone of the Discovery Themes initiative in 2014, and with the establishment of a university-level institute in 2017 it cemented its commitment to make Ohio a global hub for the development, application and study of data analytics solutions.

The Translational Data Analytics Institute (TDAI) channels Ohio State's strengths to help drive education, business, and communities forward. It is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community of innovators. Together, its 130 faculty affiliates from throughout the university, including more than 50 additional hires, bring expertise and know-how unparalleled in scope across foundational data science disciplines and applied domains, including core data and decision science, precision agriculture, population health, and digital humanities.
