TDAI provides an unprecedented opportunity for its faculty members to get involved in cross-college and external collaborations. TDAI affiliates are part of an active community of scientists, scholars, and educators representing 14 colleges and 35+ disciplines who work on developing programs, resources, and projects that span the traditional academic disciplines.
Through TDAI, affiliates are connected to a growing network of resources including datasets and databases, extensive training and research opportunities, and robust opportunities to test new technologies and platforms through partnerships with industry and community organizations and other academic centers and institutes. Starting in April 2018, affiliates will also have access to TDAI’s new 20,000-square-foot facility in Pomerene Hall, featuring three state-of-the-art data laboratories, collaborative team spaces, a Shared Services consulting space, and more.
TDAI affiliated faculty membership is generally reserved for data experts at Ohio State whose work and research has direct impact on data science and analytics. Affiliated faculty demonstrate leadership in the field and are expected to regularly contribute to the research, teaching, and outreach efforts of TDAI.
