Randi Foraker

Assistant Professor, Epidemiology, College of Public Health; Biomedical Informatics, College of Medicine

Randi develops and tests electronic health record-based visualizations that are designed to engage patients and providers in conversations at the point-of-care about maintaining health, choosing appropriate medical treatments, and preventing disease. In addition to short-term changes in patient outcomes and quality of care, Randi is interested in the long-term impacts of electronic health record-based visualizations on chronic disease risk. Currently, Randi is seeking to extend the use of SPHERE, a cardiovascular health visualization tool, from primary care to the cancer survivorship setting in order to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease among cancer survivors.
