Dr. Rempala’s research is in the areas of modeling stochastic complex systems. The potential use for his research is e.g., in prediction of disease spread in a population or in understanding complex molecular interactions between tumor and its environment. The overarching goal of his work is to develop better ways of understanding biological data using modern mathematical, statistical and computational tools.
