Desheng Liu

Associate Professor, Geography, College of Arts and Sciences

Dr. Liu’s research is in the areas of data analytics and spatial analytics. His research draws upon an array of geo-spatial and statistical approaches, particularly GIS, remote sensing, and spatial statistics. The goal of his research is to develop novel geo-spatial data analysis methodologies for monitoring and modeling environmental and ecological processes. A central theme of his research is the statistical modeling of the spatial or spatial-temporal dimension of the processes under study.
