Nutritional Genomics course

This novel course provides an introduction to the emerging field of nutritional genomics and translational medicine for the prevention and treatment of diseases. MD6900 reviews genetics and biochemistry concepts prior to full application and integration of gene-diet and gene-environment interactions and applications proven to promote optimal human health. There will be specific focus on the genomics aimed at personalized dietary interventions that can treat or prevent chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, cancer, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease.
