Description

The Department of Microbial Infection and Immunity in The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center College of Medicine solicit applications for a tenure-track faculty position in immunology. This position is part of a substantial university-wide investment (Discovery Theme) to significantly enhance cutting-edge research in immunology and infectious disease detection, treatment and prevention. Successful candidates will also be expected to synergize with Ohio State's host-pathogen and immunology groups within existing University Centers and programs (e.g. Infectious Diseases Institute, Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center) to advance our role as national/international leaders in pathogens, innate/adaptive immunity, vaccines and biofilms/microbiota. 

Qualifications

Applicants should have a PhD, MD, DVM or equivalent degree in Immunology, Microbiology, or related fields.  Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience. Candidates to the rank of Associate/Full Professor should have demonstrated research productivity and evidence of an independently funded and sustainable research program, as well as experience working with interdisciplinary research teams. Candidates to the rank of Assistant Professor should have a successful postdoctoral training experience, interest in programmatic synergy with existing members of Ohio State faculty, and exhibit a superb record of research excellence.
