The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University seeks an outstanding candidate to contribute to a university-wide initiative in data analytics, commencing autumn semester 2015. In particular, we seek an individual who engages large data sets for purposes of: (1) developing new quantitative methods (multivariate and/or multi-level) or new mathematical and computational theory and modeling techniques, (2) understanding how to integrate research conclusions across studies (meta-analysis) or render them more impactful, and/or (3) addressing various psychological phenomena (e.g., parameters affecting decision making or behavior change, modeling fMRI data, effectiveness of clinical or health interventions, etc.). Candidates with very strong research programs who can also contribute to one or more of our graduate program specializations (behavioral neuroscience, clinical, cognitive, decision making, developmental, quantitative, or social) are encouraged to apply. This tenure-track position is targeted for up to Associate Professor level candidates. This position is partially funded by Ohio State's Discovery Themes Initiative, a significant faculty hiring investment in key thematic areas in which the university can build on its culture of academic collaboration to make a global impact.



Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. in psychology or a related field prior to the employment start date.  All applicants are expected to have strong and fundable research programs and to contribute to both graduate and undergraduate supervision and instruction.
