Description

This position is partially funded by Ohio State’s Discovery Themes Initiative (Discovery.osu.edu), a significant faculty hiring investment in key thematic areas in which the university can build on its culture of academic collaboration to make a global impact, and is a joint appointment with the William G. Lowrie Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. The successful candidate will be engaged in the Sustainable and Resilient Economy (SRE) program (https://discovery.osu.edu/SRE) with a highly collaborative interdisciplinary community of scholars from Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Health Sciences, Economics and Business. Candidates with an established research program in the field of reaction engineering including but not limited to catalysis and renewable energy systems that is relevant to the general field of sustainable engineering and chemistry are strongly encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will be expected to lead or participate in collaborative teams and interdisciplinary research with the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, and the broader community of scholars.

The Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department is located in a new, state-of-the-art new building which opened in January, 2015.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have demonstrated a strong record of publication and intellectual leadership in their research field, as well as a record of leading and/or participating in collaborative, interdisciplinary research teams.
