Description

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Ohio State University invites applications for an anticipated tenure track position in the area of hardware cybersecurity in computer architecture and for the Internet-of-things. We seek a scholar with interests in cybersecurity for cloud computing, mobile computing, and data center management. The candidate should be committed to interdisciplinary research on the boundary of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering, which includes investigating problems involving the co-design of software and hardware. 

This position is partially funded by Ohio State's Discovery Themes Initiative, a significant faculty hiring investment in key thematic areas in which the university can build on its culture of academic collaboration to make a global impact.

Successful candidates should demonstrate potential for a vigorous externally-funded research program, show excellence and leadership in academic and scholarly activities, and demonstrate outstanding teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a doctoral degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering or a closely related field, as well as outstanding academic credentials. Recruitment at the Associate Professor rank is also possible based on the candidate’s record of academic accomplishment.
